Verified Bueno - excellent experience - 5 stars! The food and experience are incredible! One in our party is a celiac and the food was safe and so very delicious. We had the lunch special - pasta in tomato sauce with various proteins (shrimp, muscles and mahi mahi) and chicken soup. The food was seasoned so well - rich, hearty and so very satisfying. Our celiac did not have any ill effects and she had the lunch special with pasta. The owner knew what celiac was and was careful with food. One of the best experiences and meals on our trip. Een eenvoudig, maar net en klein restaurantje op de tweede verdieping van het winkelcentrum. Niet de meest idyllische plek in deze omgeving, maar het eten en de bediening maken dat meer dan goed. Ongelooflijk goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding. De tonijnsteak, perfect gegaard en met een heerlijke saus, verse salade en gebakken krieltjes voor nog geen € 7000,00. Het was zijn specialiteit, vertelde de eigenaar. Maar ook de vleesmix schotel en burger met blauwe kaas waren top. Het eten was zoveel lekkerder (en drie keer zo goedkoop) dan dat van het chique hotel waar wij ons verblijf hadden. Helaas was dit onze laatste avond in Monteverde, anders waren we hier zeker nog een keer naar toe gegaan.Verified Delicious Food! Great option when in Monteverde! We stayed at a nearby hotel and walked to the commercial center where The Green restaurant was located, decided to stop in. It was early enough to find an open table without a reservation , but it does fill up quickly! The food was delicious and really well priced! The servers were kind and welcoming. My only complaint was I ordered a bottle of water instead of tap option and the bottle he set at table was a refilled glass bottle they fill with filtered water. This is the same filtered water they give to guests who opt for “tap” option. So save a few dollars and go with tap. Highly recommend this place! Yum!Verified A little gem on Monteverde. A little gem in Monteverde. We ate here 2 nights running because the food was so good, the staff are friendly and it’s a lovely atmosphere, a popular place with locals as well. I had the tuna steak the first evening which was cooked to perfection, the second evening I had chicken with mushrooms which was delicious, my husband had the beef loin which just melted. I would recommend this place to anyone but beware you do have to book.Verified Great find Our cab driver recommended this place as a good local no fuss type of place. On the strength of that we gave it a try and I’m glad we did. Smallish and tucked away on the second floor of the local ‘centro comercial’, it has a few tables outside which were taken and a smallish inside space with maybe tables. We were there at an unusual time (late lunch / early dinner) so no issue finding a table. Service very friendly and they reel off a few off menu specials in addition to offering up the standard menu. Food was of a high standard and very well presented. Glad we gave it a go and so should you. Thumbs up from me.Verified A gem in Monteverde We saw some good reviews and decided we had to try this place for ourselves. We arrived in the early evening and were asked if we had a reservation. Sadly, we did not buy we happily agreed to take table on the patio. Service was quick and spot on. I ordered the fish , Corvina a las hierbas y vino blanco (sea bass) it was wonderful cooked to perfection and the light seasoning was again spot on. Baby roasted potatoes on the side were a perfect compliment.my girlfriend ordered the Panini de Loma (steak panini) Cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. French fries were amazingly fluffy and flavourful Our server Emanuel is also the proud owner of this gem of an eatery and took a moment to tell us about his dream come true, this wonderful restaurant, The Green. The quality is much better than other places and the owner is lovely. Try the carnitas mixtas and the wine is totally better than anywhere else.

Maar wat hebben we lekker gegeten. Ook de bediening was perfect, echt een aanrader.
